Lazy wine croissants (shortbread dough)

Wine, wine, wine - how many of us love that beverage?

And there are a few savory dishes with wine that are known and you can drink while cooking without being judged... I'm kidding no one can judge you for drinking a bit of wine, but then it comes to desserts we can neglecting that pretty tasteful ingredient.

So no more separations needed, finally you can add wine at every type of meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil

  • 1/2 cups wine

  • 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)

  • 1 dash of salt

  • 1 package lokum(Turkish delight) or around 11 pics.

Coating:

  • 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Method:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2: In a large bowl combine wine and oil. Step 3: Slowly stir in flour with baking powder.

Step 4: Add in sugar, vanilla, and salt.

Step 5: Mix them all together to a soft dough.

Step 6: Roll out the dough 1-2 cm wide.

Step 7: Cut the dough in triangle-shaped strips.

Step 8: Place lokum (Turkish delight) on the wider side of the triangle stripe and roll it into a croissant. Repeat with the rest of the stripes.

Step 9: Place your croissants on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

Step 10: Bake croissants for 25 minutes or until golden.

Step 11: Remove from the oven and let them cool down just for a couple of minutes.

Step 12: Place powdered sugar on a plate and start rolling your croissant in it until they are fully covered from both sides.
